In the morning of July 12, President of Chang'an University, Chen Feng, companied with the director of 111 base Prof. Xiangmo Zhao and related staff from School of Information Engineering, International Cooperation Department, Development Research Center and Magazine Agency, had a cordial meeting with Professor Gao Huaizhu from the University of Cornell USA, Prof. Wei Heng from the University of Cincinnati USA, and Prof. Du Lili from the University of Florida USA.
President Chen Feng made welcome speech to the guests, and briefly introduced the basic information of Chang’an University in aspects of the historical evolution, school scale, characteristics of academic subjects, talent training, etc. then talked about the research progress in the field of transportation in recent years as well as near-term and long-term developmental strategic plans in transportation engineering first-class disciplines of our school. He said that the transportation engineering disciplines of Chang’an University had a great influence in China and abroad, and it had huge potential to cooperate with the University of Cornell , University of Cincinnati and University of Florida. He hoped that the three professors as well as other overseas experts in the area of transportation would give more help and guidance to scientific research and talent training in Chang’an University.
The three professors appreciated the warm reception. They briefly introduced the basic information of Chinese Overseas Transportation Association and the research directions and progresses of their respective research teams.Theycompletely agreed with thebasic conception of deepening bilateral cooperation, and wished the two sides on the basis of existing cooperation would further boost cooperation fields and create new cooperation modes, and make effort to promote and build more long-term deepening cooperation and overseas consultants relationship.
