On April14, 2016, invited bydirector of the 111 Project Base Prof. Xiangmo Zhao and sponsored by the 111 Project on “Information of Vehicle Infrastructure Sensing and ITS”, Prof.Ando Ryosuke from Toyota Urban Transportation Research Institute in Japan visited our base for academic exchanges.

During the visit, Prof. Ando Ryosuke had a comprehensive communication with the base leader and teachers. Through a deep discussion on the research and teaching, including the future disciplinary platform construction and the international cooperation and exchanges, both sides reached a good consensus. Prof. Ando Ryosuke toured the Research Center Road Transportation Intelligent Detection and Equipment of Shaanxi Province, then delivered an academic report entitled "ITS+Urban Planning=Traffic Smart City" students in the base attended. After the report, Prof. Huansheng Song presented souvenirs to Professor Ando Ryosuke.

Prof.Ando Ryosuke is currently the Minister of Toyota Urban Transportation Research Institute and major professorresearcher. At present, he also works as a Visiting Professor of graduate school in Aichi Institute of Technology, professor of Haitian scholars in Dalian University of Technology, and Visiting Professor in Tatung University etc. He also serves as an academic journal editor and reviewer for journals published by Japan Society of Civil Engineers, Japan Society of Urban Planning, Japan traffic Engineering Society, Japan's Intelligent Transportation Association, the World Intelligent Transportation Assembly (ITS-WC), American Transportation Board (TRB), the European Transport Research Conference (EWGT), the UK Engineering and Technology (IET), the international Institute of electrical and electronic technology (IEEE), Asian Institute of transport (EASTS), etc.
