Song Huansheng, born in October 1964, and received bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees of Xi 'anjiaotonguniversity in 1985, 1988 and 1996, respectively. He had postdoctoral research in XidianUniversity from 1997 to 1999. He worked in Xidian University from 1997 to 2004, and became an associate professor in 1999. Now he is a professor of Chang'anUniversity, doctoral supervisor, the dean of the school of information engineering and an expert with special allowanceof the state council.

He is engaged in the theory of road traffic intelligent detection based on image and video, technology and related products research and development for a long time, is the backbone member of innovation team (the second) of Ministry of Education “Changjiang scholars and innovative team incentive plan” and “multi-source heterogeneous traffic information intelligent detection and fusion technology”, and successively supervises or participates in National “863” project, the western traffic science and technology project, Shaanxi science and technology research projects, Shaanxi province science and technology project, as well as many technology and product development projects. As a core member, he participated in the national defense pre-research and national “863” subproject “Efficient image compression coding technology research”, which won the second prize of national defense science and technology progress, and successfully applied in the China's lunar exploration program.For application of scientific and technological achievements: 1) “Vehicle license recognition system” won provincial science and technology progress prize and invention patent award, and is successfully realized industrialization.“Mr Cote car license plate recognition system”based on this technology has become the main brand. 2) The research of Traffic parameters and incident detection system based on video” has been completed, successfully realizing industrialization promotion. “Traffic parameters and incident detection system” that used for tunnel safety, management of highway and urban road induction based on this project, has passed the test by“The national quality inspection center of traffic safety facilities”(No. 2009-CJ-198).3) As a technical director, he completed the west traffic construction project of “Bridges tomographic imaging detection technology based on rare -earth transducer and system integration”, which won the first prize of Shaanxi scientific and technological progress in 2010 (ranking the second). In recent years, he obtained 9 invention patents and 13 utility model patents, and published more than 40 papers in the important academic journals at home and abroad such as “IEEE Trans VT” “Signal Processing” and “Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications”, and mostof the papers are retrieved by SCI/EI.

       Image/video technology and its application in ITS, nonlinear image processing theory and technology, image processing and artificial intelligence, and intelligent transportation theory and key technology.The current research focuseson traffic perception and warning based on machine vision at present.
