On December 25, 2014, invited by the research team of the 111 project, “introducing talents for discipline innovation on vehicle-road information perception and intelligent transportation systems”, the president of COTA, Prof. Yinhai Wang from the university of Washington in US, Prof. Xinyu Cao from the university of Minnesota in US, Prof. Xiaoguang Yang and Prof.Xuesong Wang from Tongji University visited our school and attend the 9^thseminar of the 111 project in 2014. Vice-President Xiangmo Zhao met the guests in Academic Exchange Center Lounge.

Vice-president, Xiangmo Zhao, firstly welcomed the scholars to visit our school, and introduced the basic information of our highway traffic and urban planning disciplines. He indicated that Chang 'an university is a “211” university with distinct characteristics, including highway traffic, territorial resources, urban and rural construction and other rapidly developed technological fields. It ha s a very strong strength in highway traffic area. For a long time, it had made remarkable achievements by closely working with industry for innovation s . We sincerely hoped that international famous experts and scholars would reinforce the communication with school in academic cooperation constantly. Vice-president Xiangmo Zhao said our school was speeding up the process of internationalization in recent years and improved the international level and teachers' team construction level around the "talents make the university strong” strategy. In the future, we would increase the introduction of high-level talents, and hope that these professors use their influence to introduce and recommend high-level talents, outstanding doctors and postdoctors for Chang’an University to promote continually the depth and breadth of the school work of high level talents.

Vice-president Xiangmo Zhao hoped that experts come to our school regularly, and carry out research in the related fields together. The school would provide quality and efficient work platform for experts and scholars, so as to promote discipline construction and cultivate brilliant teachers.

Prof. Yinhai Wang, Xiaoguang Yang and Xinyu Cao made speech. They highly praised the academic level and achievements in highway traffic field at Chang’an University, and were willing to cooperate with the school in various aspects. They offered their opinions and suggestions for cultivating the high-level talents, and hoped to contribute to the development of our school in these aspects.

The directors of Personnel Department,Department of International Cooperation, Highway School, School of Electric and Control, School of Information Engineering and School of Architecture attended the meeting.

After the meeting, the experts and scholars made special reports on “the vehicle-road information perception and intelligent transportation system”.
